Ohio's Creative Design Reputation

Proud to say my design roots come from this great state!

Dayton, OH, 2/1/2011. Icicle berries + Lisa.

Well, the mostly ice but some snow storm canceled two days of classes @ UD. Lovely! Gave me some time to catch up on work and on day 2, even relax! I took this picture before my roommates and I braved the storm to buy some black illustration board for a storyboarding project and some very much needed groceries.
Now, it’s back to the grind. Not too much school work to do this weekend considering the lack of class! A visit to OU planned for Saturday…

The Huffington Post takes a satirical look at movies and stereotypes of each state in our great nation. Makes me want to watch each movie. :)

Ohio= Gummo? Never heard of it. Wikipedia says:

The film is set in Xenia, Ohio, a small town hit by a tornado in 1974. The film depicts Xenia as the home of various oddball and somewhat disturbing backwater characters. The loose narrative follows several main characters who find odd and destructive ways to pass time, interrupted by vignettes depicting other denizens of the town.

Sounds interesting! Adding it to bucket list of movies. When I’ll ever have time to watch these movies I do not know. Someday!

Screenshots of a coaster made by Cranky Pressman, a letterpress company in Salem, Ohio. Some 330 loving.
