Lesson(s) of the Night/Early Morning

Lesson #1- When hard-boiling eggs, it really does make a difference to boil eggs that have an expiration date closer to the day you bought them. Peeling boiled eggs that are fresh IS VERY, VERY TEDIOUS, FRUSTRATING, AND DOWNRIGHT IMPOSSIBLE, resulting in disaster. That may be a little dramatic, but whatever.

Lesson #2- When your roommate tells you there is a hairy spider lurking around the premises of your apartment door and to “be on the look-out”, TAKE THIS WARNING SERIOUSLY and be aware of your surroundings. Hopefully, this precaution will prevent said hairy beast from making its way inside your kitchen via Vera Bradley cross body bag. Therefore, when studying on a Friday night at the kitchen table after attempting to make deviled eggs for a Halloween potluck, you will not scream in terror, causing your other roommate to have a heart attack followed by 20 minutes consisting of the two of you plotting the spider’s demise (trap it under a glass filled with hairspray fumes, slide a paper towel under the glass, wrap the glass with the rest of the towel, take it to the toilet, drop & flush). Thank you Becky.

Lessons learned!
